Short Biography of Iron Lady, Fukhre Hindustan Dr.Syeda Mehnaz Warsi
Today I'm introducing a very important personality, that is Iron lady, Rashtariya Gourav, second Mother Teresa Dr.Syeda Mahnaz Warsi.Dr.Syeda Mahnaz Warsi is not a single name.It's the name of a multi talented personality.At the same time, she is a doctor( psychiatrist), an educationaist, a principal, a great social activist of our city Kolkata and an urdu poetess.She is the recipient of 155 national and international awards which include "Rani Jhansi Luxmi Stree Shakti at Vigyan Bhawan in2001, "Fukhre Hindustan in 2003, Begum Ruqaiya Khatab....2006, Role Model Award by Dept.of social welfare, Govt of West Bengal in 2007.She is an MBBS, MD, PhD. She was born in cultured family in the slums of Jannagar Road( ward 60).Her father, Late Syed Ghulam Mohiuddin Ahmed Warsi., ..was a social reformer and educationist.As a popular social activist he arranged clean drinking water supply, sanitation, sewerage, nutrition( milk and Roti for women and children) and education ( through library) to most needy masses.

A tragic fire accident at a very tender age of 6 months caused unforeseen physical hardship to her during early childhood.She used to crawl to school(as she almost forgot walking for years) but never gave up hope'.The long awaited plastic surgery( to render physical and mental strength) on her feet was ultimately performed under the renowned Dr P K.Setti at Jaipur that rendered some mobility, but forced her to wear 900 stitches even today. She also developed hole in her heart.Despite these ailments, she is hyperactive and working for poor, deprived and under priviledged children.

Her father's untimely unexpected death during early teenage create a vaccum.But made her very strong and fiercely independent.She started her struggle against male dominated society.She founded "PREM...E.,..ASHA"...HOPE FOUNDED ON LOVE'.….a secular, voluntary grassroots level welfare association of like minded individual in 1984.
Education to dropouts and enable them to appear in the exam as external candidates.
Under the banner of this association she provides education to dropouts and enable them to appear in the exam as external candidates.The purpose is that the students become qualified and self dependent so that they can earn their livelihood easily.For that purpose there was lack of vacant place.So she has arranged at "Our Lady Queen of the Mission" school Park Circus and also at St Xevier's College Park Street, Kolkata.I congratulate Dr.Syeda Mahnaz Warsi for outstanding contribution, excellent achievement and remarkable performance in different field of life like health, educaion and social issues.She is playing great role to maintain communal harmony, nation integration, empowerment of women and vocational training.
At last I wish her all the best and pray to Almighty that He showers His countless blessings upon Dr.Syeda Mahnaz Warsi., ..the Proud of India.
